1. Are we invited to the "Welcome Night" and/or "Snorkeling Trip"?

All of our guests are invited to join in the festivities taking place on Friday and Sunday! On that note, we just did not feel like a few hours on one day was enough time with our favorite people! This is truly meant to be a Weekend Wedding where we hope to laugh, dance and celebrate with you the whole weekend through.

2. Is the ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception outside?

Yes, our entire wedding day will take place outside (weather permitting). The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place in areas with minimal shading, so please remember to wear sunscreen and please dress to be in direct sunlight for at least a portion of the day. The reception will take place under a beautiful tent, which will provide shading.

3. Will there be a dress code for your wedding?

Our dress code is tropical formal. Think long flowy dresses and linen suits. The ceremony will take place on the beach, where there is compacted sand, and cocktail hour will take place on the lawn. For those who choose to wear heels, we suggest block heels.

4. Where should we stay? Can we stay at the Islander Resort?

We would LOVE it if you stayed at the Islander Resort with us. In fact, we would love it so much that we have negotiated awesome rates and a room block for our guests. The Islander Resort offers a beach-side pool, water sports, two wonderful restaurants and a free shuttle service anywhere on the island (within a 2 mile radius). Should you prefer alternate accommodations, there are several within a 5 mile radius of our venue, we suggest the following:

Cheeca Lodge & Resort ($$$$)

Location: 81801 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL

Description: Beautiful and on the water within a half mile of the Islander Resort. Offers free shuttle service within a 2 mile radius.

Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina ($$$)

Location: 84001 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL

Description: Beautiful and on the water about 2 miles from the Islander Resort. Also offering a lively tiki bar and a marina.

Sunset Inn ($$)

Location: 82200 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL

Description: Half a mile walk from the Islander Resort.

5. What amenities do the rooms at the Islander Resort offer?

Aside from the benefit of being walking distance from all of the action, 2 pools, and complimentary water sports, the Tropical View rooms at the Islander (which can be reserved at the link in answer 4 above) include the following:

- clothing steamer

- blow dryer

- full fridge and freezer (there is a Publix just down the street at which you can purchase groceries/beverages)

- microwave

- coffee maker

6. How can I book a room in your room block at the Islander Resort?

7. How do we get to and from the airport and venue?

Our beautiful venue is about 1.5 hours from Miami Airport. We suggest either renting a car and carpooling (though you will not need to drive once you are on Islamorada as everything is walking-distance or a short shuttle ride away), or you may book a shuttle. For shuttle service, we recommend Shippy Limo as they make the most frequent transfers between Miami Airport and the Keys.

8. How do we get around Islamorada?

While Ubers are available on Islamorada, we suggest using Freebee Ridesharing. It is a free ridesharing service that will take you anywhere between approximately mile marker 72 and mile marker 90. For reference, the Islander Resort is located near mile marker 82. Freebee Ridesharing operates from 7 AM to Midnight on weekends.
